Description
Manufactured Using Hagane-tsuke Technique
The blade is manufactured using the traditional Japanese technique of Hagane-tsuke. This size is slightly smaller than the standard size (165mm).
[What is Hagane-tsuke?]
Hagane-tsuke involves using steel only on the cutting edge of the blade's back side, while the front side of the blade is made from soft iron called jigane. This technique combines hard steel with tough soft iron to prevent the blade from breaking.
