Description
The vase is called Senko-gonomi (Senko-style) and is named after Senmyo Ikenobo (1624-1643), the 41st headmaster.
Lots of propitious motifs such as Mt. Penglai ( Houraisan in Japanese), tortoise, and swirl patterns give a mood of celebration.
It suits auspicious occasions in special, but also seasonal arrangements and classical styles.
